SUD Life Boosts Financial Literacy Efforts in Goa with New Outreach Programs

Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance (SUD Life) has launched an extensive Insurance Awareness Campaign across over 50 villages in Goa to promote affordable life insurance and assist citizens in identifying and recovering unclaimed financial assets.

Implemented under the Goa State Insurance Plan, the initiative underscores SUD Life’s continued efforts to strengthen financial education and enhance life insurance awareness at the community level.

Placing the Department of Financial Services’ flagship initiative, “Your Money, Your Right,” at its core, the campaign aims to create widespread awareness about tracing and reclaiming unclaimed financial assets, including deposits, pensions, insurance proceeds, and mutual fund investments. To ensure deep outreach across the state, a dedicated below-the-line (BTL) awareness van has been deployed, supported by seminars and Nukkad Nataks across 20 Panchayats. The initiative also reinforces awareness of the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), further strengthening financial empowerment at the grassroots.

Through a mix of audio-visual communication and direct community engagement, the campaign reflects the joint commitment of SUD Life and the district administration to enhancing insurance literacy, strengthening financial inclusion, and ensuring the effective reach of government-backed financial protection schemes to households across Goa. The initiative has received an encouraging response from local communities.

The campaign was formally flagged off on November 25, 2025, at the SUD Life Goa Office by Shri Vivek Dadheech, Zonal Manager, Bank of India, and Shri Pran Ranjan Prasad, Deputy Regional Head, Union Bank of India.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Abhay Tewari, MD & CEO, Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance, said,

“Goa is an integral state for SUD Life. Financial protection and timely access to information are essential for every household. The ‘Your Money, Your Right’ campaign takes this information directly to citizens in a simple and accessible manner, helping them understand life insurance options and the steps required to trace and reclaim unclaimed financial assets.”

Over the years, SUD Life has consistently undertaken rural outreach programmes, financial literacy drives, and awareness initiatives among underserved and remote populations. The company remains committed to enhancing insurance literacy and strengthening financial inclusion across Goa.
